Bill Donovan joined the Conlon & Co team in 2015 as an Associate, working as a part of the Conlon team as an analyst and asset manager.
Bill works closely with the property managers, contractors, leasing agents and sales agents of each asset to maximize the value to investors. Bill is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of over $50 million in multi-family, hospitality, retail and office assets in three different states.
As an analyst, he focuses on the evaluation of assemblage, commercial and residential real estate acquisitions, and property development.
Bill comes from a family of real estate. His grandfather and father own a property management company, which owns and operates apartment buildings in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. From a young age, Bill learned the ins and outs of managing properties and the work that goes along with it. He worked for the family business as part of the janitorial staff, learning important maintenance and improvement aspects of property management.
During college, Bill positioned himself to obtain as much experience in Chicago real estate as he could. He interned at Conlon & Co for two consecutive summers prior to joining the team full time. During his internship, Bill gained valuable knowledge in project management as well as the due diligence that is involved in a property acquisition. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Management and Real Estate, Bill moved back to Chicago beginning his real estate career.
Bill founded and served as president of the Mizzou Club Golf team in college, developing his leadership and organizational skills, and honing in on his love of golf. In addition, Bill's other personal interests include traveling and is a big Chicago sports fan.
