Sean J. Conlon

Before emigrating to America in 1990, Mr. Conlon worked as a credit analyst for Middle East Bank in London and attended the College of Marketing and Design in Dublin. In 1993 he joined Koenig & Strey and quickly set yearly sales records among Chicago realtors that impressively exceeded $170 million.

In January 2000, Mr. Conlon formed Sussex & Reilly (“SR”), an Illinois-based real estate brokerage firm. Today, SR has over 300 employees and annual brokerage sales volume in excess of $1.3 billion. He also formed Conlon & Co (USA) to provide real estate consulting and financing services to clients

Mr. Conlon, in partnership with Daniel P. Fowler, acquired Near North National Title ("Near North") in 2004. Near North, a national real estate title company established in 1988 which handles over $5.5 billion in real estate transactions annually across the U.S.

Mr. Conlon is Chairman, Co-founder and Co-owner of Connaught Real Estate Finance LLC, which provides mezzanine financing for large residential development projects and currently has over $100 million under management and throughout the United States.

Sean is also co-owner of Van and Conlon, a development company that builds 50-100 vacation homes in the Midwest, annually.

In less than a decade, Mr. Conlon has become recognised as one of the top real estate experts in the country. He is often the “voice of real estate“ for journalists and reporters; he has been interviewed by CNN, CNBC, New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal to discuss the market and trends within the real estate industry.

In 2006, he was featured in the 60-minute RTE Irish Television "Made in America" documentary that highlighted successful emigrants from Ireland and their triumphant business successes. The “Made in America” documentary brought to millions of viewers Sean Conlon’s story of aggressive work ethic, ambition and astonishing accomplishments.

Now, in 2007, Sean Conlon is developing his business in his native country, co-founding a joint venture with Investor First, the successful Dublin based real estate investment & development company.
